Johnstone’s Trade Young Painter of the Year Winners announced 

This year marked the 15th year of the Johnstone’s Young Painter of the Year competition, which saw seven young professionals from across the UK take the title.  Regional finals were hosted in Glasgow, Newcastle, Bournemouth, Folkestone, Doncaster, Liverpool and Leicester, with a winner and runner-up selected at each event. Budding painting professionals, aged 16 to 27, competed to demonstrate their skills and knowledge by undertaking a range of technical painting tasks, incorporating complex patterns and geometric designs.

Leeds College of Building Students Win Three Medals at WorldSkills UK Live

Leeds College of Building students have been named among the best in UK trades after winning two silver and one bronze medal at WorldSkills UK Live.  Taking place from 21 – 23 November at the NEC, Birmingham, WorldSkills UK LIVE is the UK’s largest skills, apprenticeship and careers events. At its heart are the national finals of the WorldSkills UK Competitions showcasing 70 different skills across industries including Digital, Technology, Engineering, Construction, and Hospitality.
