Transforming Felixstowe Lifeguard Hut

Area Development Manager Robert Smith worked with Brewers Ipswich to ensure the transformation of Felixstowe Lifeguard Hut was the brightest and best it could be. 10L of Johnstone’s Opaque Woodstain and 2.5L of Albany Aluminium Wood Primer was donated to make sure the hut is well protected against the British seaside weather.

Johnstone’s Painter of the Year Winner restores the beauty of the Turkish Baths, Harrogate

The Turkish Baths in Harrogate is one of only seven dating back to the 19th century that can be found in the UK, and it is one of the most historically accurate. Redecorating such a building requires a combination of skill, patience, a keen eye for detail and exceptional product knowledge. It was Wharfdale Decorations Ltd’s ability to demonstrate these qualities that contributed to them being crowned Supreme Winner at the Johnstone’s Painter of the Year Awards.

Johnstone’s Decorating Centre introduces new paint exchange programme 

Johnstone’s Decorating Centre has launched its new Paint Exchange service. Available from 11th August, account holders will be able to take their old paint cans into selected Johnstone’s Decorating Centres and exchange any brand of water-based paint can, with or without paint left in the can. In conjunction with a specialist paint recycling partner any unused paint will be recycled into new paint and the empty packaging recycled into new paint cans. A staggering 55 million litres of paint goes into landfill each year, so the service aims to help reduce waste as well giving painters and decorators an easy and sustainable way to dispose of their old paint cans.
