Our new decorative Essentials Collection has been designed to be safe and easy to use, the Water-based formulations are specifically formulated to be low VOC and many products are Child Safe Paints, tested to European BS EN 71-3:2013 Standards, meaning parents can rest assured when decorating their children’s nurseries and bedrooms, painting furniture or children’s toys the products are safe for use.

Utilising the latest technology and quality pigments to develop products which offer easy application properties, high opacity, excellent colour retention and a high-quality finish, with a focus on quality and not cost savings the new range provides professionals with a premium quality product.

Coatings for uPVC Windows and Doors
PVC17 is ideal for use on uPVC windows, conservatories and doors, and has been specially formulated to maximise throughput with excellent direct application to plastic substrates whilst minimising environmental impact enabling compliance with the latest legislation.

Colour
Available in a host of colours, thanks to HMG’s UNIT LITE tinting system PVC17 is available in virtually limitless colours including RAL, BS & decorative range colours and three gloss levels direct from HMG or via its nationwide distribution network.
The U.V. stable system results in improved interior and exterior durability and enhances appearance and surface feel – prevents “plasticizer migration”.

Application
PVC17 is a Single pack, easy to use system with no isocyanate health related requirements and can also be supplied in in aerosols. Offering outstanding covering power and opacity due to very high (automotive type) pigmentation PVC17 can be applied by brush or spray, drying rapidly, Touch dry – 15 minutes, to a highly durable film and offering outstanding light fastness and colour retention.

A premium quality flat matt emulsion for interior use on wall and ceiling surfaces, where a flat non-reflective finish is required. Low VOC and BS EN 71-3:2013 Certified

Silk Emulsion
A premium quality silk emulsion for interior use on wall and ceiling surfaces, where a washable high sheen finish is required. Low VOC and BS EN 71-3:2013 Certified

Acrylic Eggshell
A mid-sheen finish that provides a durable, washable finish resistant to condensation.
Low VOC and BS EN 71-3:2013 Certified

HMG Contract Emulsion from HMG Paints
A decorative matt emulsion that has excellent opacity which improves as the paint dries. Excellent results can be achieved with a single coat.

Gloss Finish Trim Paint from HMG Paints
A premium quality gloss decorative and protective finish for use over correctly prepared joinery. Ideal for windows, doors, soffits and fascias. Low VOC and BS EN 71-3:2013 Certified

Satin Finish Trim Paint from HMG Paints
A premium quality mid sheen satin decorative and protective finish for use over correctly prepared joinery. Ideal for windows, doors, soffits and fascias. Low VOC and BS EN 71-3:2013 Certified

Acrylic Primer Undercoat from HMG Paints
A premium combined primer and undercoat suitable for interior wood, hardboard and plaster. Provides an excellent base for topcoat.

Softwood Primer from HMG Paints
A high-quality bleed resistant primer which can be used internally and externally on new or bare softwood surfaces, including plywood, chipboard and flakeboard.

Colour
With over 85 years of producing colours, HMG maintains an unrivalled colour library of more than 200,000 colours and can produce paints in various colour ranges including; decorative, industrial, commercial vehicle, Pantone, NCS dimensions, RAL & British standard.

The HMG colour library is the hub for colour control and formulation, and the team of highly trained colour experts provide over 300 custom matches every month for a range of 60+ distributors and other customers.

In order to do this, we utilise a spectrophotometer, which uses a Xenon bulb to measure colour close to daylight, and state of the art equipment for colour comparison and formulation. All our colours are formulated with the least metameric pigment combination to ensure consistency throughout different illuminants and batch to batch consistency.
