Bringing world class construction skills to tens of thousands of apprentices at colleges across the UK, the Centre will deliver higher quality training, creating more prestige for apprenticeships and technical qualifications.

The Centre of Excellence, which is run in partnership with NCFE, uses WorldSkills UK’s unique insights in global skills systems to deliver the skill sets and mindsets that employers are looking for in new recruits.

Pete Walters MBE, a former painter and decorator with over 30 years experiencing in teaching including ten years as a WorldSkills UK Training Manger, is part of a team of high-performance skills coaches leading the Centre.  He joins the Trade Decorator Festival and Exhibition to discuss what this initiative means for the industry and how it can benefit your business and training programmes.
